• Lumiere's Company Story

  • Lumiere Candle Company was founded in 2002 by Michael Moroski. He created a unique variety of scents that were designed to accommodate a large private label order for Levi Strauss. The scent “clothesline” was a gift with purchase for retailers across the country. After his initial success he began looking for his next endeavor. He decided to store the candles and equipment in an old college buddies warehouse space in the meantime. Todd Anderson, who was storing the candles, began to see a trend. Anyone who stopped in, wanted to take a candle. Eventually everyone began asking where they were available. Todd bought the company shortly after. Five years later and with hundreds boutiques carrying the line nationally and internationally, Lumiere Candle Co. has upheld the same processes and values that have made our candles the choice for quality retailers.

  • What makes a Lumiere Candle exceptional is the special attention given to each individual candle. We have hired artisans that take great pride in hand pouring, and labeling each candle. If you look closely at the labels you will see that they are not perfectly matched up. This is how you will always know a candle artisan has placed the label and put their own personal touch on each candle.
  • In addition, we only use the finest ingredients. Starting with our all-natural wax blend down to the cotton wick, we maintain the integrity of a “green” product.

  • You will also notice that the aroma is more fragrant. The reasons are simple. One, our scents are created by top perfumers at a small fragrance house just outside of Paris to ensure that we are using the purest scents. Two, our candles use 8 % essential oil, while the industry standard is 4%. Three, the fragrance is preserved in the melting process. We heat in smaller batches and this allows us to use lower temperatures. In return the scent does not evaporate during the melting process.
