In the summer of 2008 Lumiere Candle Co. worked together with local artists and designers to evolve the idea of the candle. Lumiere's values of high quality, all natural ingredients, hand-crafted techniques and exceptional taste guided us in reaching new levels of artistic innovation, and thus sparked new creations.
Art Series
Consisted of pieces and installations that drew from Lumiere's established values and explored new ideas in art. Included a wax covered chair sculpture, a clothesline, WAX paintings, wax-fruit drops, etc...
Design Series
Consisted of conceptual products that re-imagined how a candle or candelabra can look and operate in the world of extreme conceptualization.
Results
Spark culminated in a gallery opening at Bristol Bar, a sylish martini bar in Columbus, Ohio. All proceeds went to The Ft. Hayes Photography Alumni Association, an organization gives scholarships to High School seniors in photography that will continue their education.
